After a lazy weekend, it was yet another Monday morning, and
the daunting ‘Monday blues’! To add to the woes, because of the heavy traffic
on NH17, I had to take a detour through the narrow lanes of Majorda village. This
meant that I was to reach the office a few minutes late. Not really a
comfortable situation when I knew that I had a pretty hectic schedule for the
next two days and that the tight deadlines would keep me belted on my chair in the cubicle.

Kaun Banega Crorepati...?
Watching ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on television has always been entertaining and fun. But it can inspire too! Today’s episode of KBC was one such episode- which really inspired, taught and reminded me of a few fundamentals which we often forget or don’t bother to remember.

A Black Ball that is Orange in Colour
Sometimes even a casual conversation turns out to be a lesson. A few days ago, a friend asked me… we read and hear so much about ‘Positive Thinking’. If I google, I will get thousands of links hundreds of benefits of positive thinking. But then, how can mere positive thinking lead to positive things? If there is a black ball on the table, and I simply stare towards it and think that it’s an orange ball, will that ball be orange? If not, then why didn’t thinking positive help?
The Unsung Mahatma
At 74, he is not sitting on a cozy couch admiring the rains through the window pane. Instead, he has taken charge to initiate a movement against the biggest enemy of the nation. As India celebrated it’s 64th Independence Day, Anna Hazare initiated another freedom struggle. Decades ago, the Mahatma started the Quit India Movement to free India from the clutches of British. In 2011, the unsung Mahatma is trying to free India from the clutches of corruption.

The Social-Networking Curry
It all started in early 2006, when I got a notification from a friend inviting me to ‘Orkut’. Social networking was a concept that was nascent then. I had only read about Orkut, but refrained from joining it because I had already joined a similar site called Hi5, with a network of around 10 friends. Till then, somehow, I didn’t strike a chord with the idea of social networking. Joining Orkut changed the scene.
